The Punjab University Lahore

                                               

The University of the Punjab or Punjab University is an open research college situated in the downtownLahore, Punjab, Pakistan. 
It is the most established state-funded college in Pakistan. With numerous grounds in Gujranwala, Jhelum, and Khanspur, the college was formally settled by the British Government in the wake of gathering the initially meeting for building up advanced education establishments in October 1882 at Simla. 
The Punjab University was the fourth college to be built up by the British pilgrim experts in the Indian subcontinent; the initial three colleges were set up in different parts of British India.The commitment of Dr. G. W. Leitner, an illuminated Hungarian and a naturalized Britisher, was instrumental in the foundation of this University. He turned into its first Registrar. Prof. A. C. Woolner, who remained Vice-Chancellor of this University amid 1928-1936, assumed a key part in its improvement amid the underlying many years of this century. His statue still stands before the Allama Iqbal Campus of the University.
Allama Iqbal Campus, named after the great South Asian thinker and mystic poet, with Islamic architectural design is in the middle of the bustling city of Lahore.
Quaid-i-Azam Campus, after the name of the father of the Nation, is located 12 kilometers to the South of Allama Iqbal Campus. Spread over an area of 1800 acres of lush green landscape, this campus is the center of academic and administrative activities of the University. A canal dividing the academic blocks from the student lodgings and adds to the beauty of the campus.
A The University continues to retain its original teaching as well as examining functions. In addition to the on-campus teaching and research activities, the University oversees and regulates the academic activities of over 328 affiliated colleges and institutes, imparting undergraduate, postgraduate and professional education. The University of the Punjab has played a leading role in higher education in the country. The University strives to provide a conducive environment for the pursuit of the academic activities. On account of its quality degree programs, pleasant environment, and low tuitions fees, the University remains the institution of the first choice for the students seeking admission.

Riphah International Uiversity

                                          Riphah International University is a private University, contracted by the Federal Government of Pakistan in mid of 2002. The University was built up with a view to creating experts with Islamic good and moral qualities. It is supported by a not revenue driven trust; in particular, Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), made in 1995.
