National Textile University, or NTU, is the head foundation of material instruction in Pakistan. It was some time ago known as National College of Textile Engineering associated with University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore since 1976.

The National Textile University is associated with National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
Establishing a Textile Institute of world notoriety was brought about by a gathering of visionary industrialists in 1954. To understand this thought the Government of Punjab held hands with the main material industrialists to shape an Institute of Textile Technology in Faisalabad (then Lyallpur) and gave sixty-two sections of land of state-possessed land free of cost. The school was overhauled as National Textile University on 15 November 2002 through the proclamation of Ordinance No. CXXIV of 2002 by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
